Strawberry Jelly poke cake – no added sugar- Valentine’s cake idea
As with any other foodie trends going on Tiktok at the moment, I was sipping on some tea one night, looking and feeling super comfortable in PJ’s watching The Vikings, and while scrolling through random videos on the American side of Tiktok, I discovered a cake called ” Jelly poke cake” and it’s basically a cake that you bake, and once it’s cooled down you poke some holes in and pour in the jelly of your choice. You can use strawberry or raspberry jelly, then leave it to set in the fridge for good 4 hours, then decorate it with some strawberries and whipped cream. I prefer Strawberry jelly as who doesn’t love the heavenly combination of strawberry and cream?
So after discovering this recipe on Tiktok, I couldn’t stop myself from making it on valentine’s day and share it with all of you haha. And I am telling you this cake was a success it was gone in 2 days!
It is honestly one of the best homemade cakes I have baked! so easy to make takes no effort at all and in the end, it will taste like those creamy and fruity cakes we buy from the cake shop!
