Walnuts & Sultanas Granny Cake with golden butter
Ingredients
Granny cake
- 225 Grams Self Raising Flour
- 25 Grams Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 55 Grams Chopped Walnuts
- 70 Grams Raisins
- 15 ML Golden Syrup
- 150 ML Milk
Golden Syrup butter
- 1/2 Cup Salted butter Room Temperature
- 2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
- 1/4 Tsp Cinamon
- 1/4 Tsp All Spice
Instructions
Granny Cake
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Grease your cake tin.
- Start by adding all the dry ingredients including the walnuts and raisins.
- Add the wet ingredients and beat until everything is well combined.
- Poor the mixture in the cake tin and bake for 40-45 minutes in a preheated 180C oven.
- Serve Warm with butter.
Golden Butter
- In a bowl combine the soft butter with golden syrup, all spiceand cinamon.
- Mix until everything is combined and place it in the fridge to chill before serving.
