Lebanese lentil & rice recipe

Ingredients
  

Fatoush Salad

  • 2 lettuce
  • 3 Tomato
  • 2 Red Onions
  • 1 Full Large English Cucomber
  • 4 Rdishes
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Lemon juice
  • 1 Tsp Dry mint
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Pomegranate Molases
  • 1 Tsp Sumac

Modardara

  • 1 Cup Brown lentils
  • 2 Cups Boiling Water
  • 2 Cups Long Grain Rice
  • 1 Tbsp Sea Salt
  • 3 Large Onions
  • 1 Cup Vegetable Oil

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 Vegan Alpro Yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Start by boiling your lentil until fully soft but still keeping their shape.
  • Drain the lentil while making sure to keep the lentil water for later use.
  • Clean your rice 3 times making sure to use fresh water everytime you rinse.
  • Add the rice and lentil to a pan followed by the lentil water and salt bring to a boil then cover until they are fully cooked. it will take aproxmatly 15 minutes
  • In a frying pan add the vegetable oil followed by the onions and fry until golden and creapy.

  • Serve with the fatoush salad and vegan yogurt. Enoy !
