Lebanese lentil & rice recipe
Ingredients
Fatoush Salad
- 2 lettuce
- 3 Tomato
- 2 Red Onions
- 1 Full Large English Cucomber
- 4 Rdishes
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Lemon juice
- 1 Tsp Dry mint
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Pomegranate Molases
- 1 Tsp Sumac
Modardara
- 1 Cup Brown lentils
- 2 Cups Boiling Water
- 2 Cups Long Grain Rice
- 1 Tbsp Sea Salt
- 3 Large Onions
- 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
Optional Ingredients
- 1 Vegan Alpro Yogurt
Instructions
- Start by boiling your lentil until fully soft but still keeping their shape.
- Drain the lentil while making sure to keep the lentil water for later use.
- Clean your rice 3 times making sure to use fresh water everytime you rinse.
- Add the rice and lentil to a pan followed by the lentil water and salt bring to a boil then cover until they are fully cooked. it will take aproxmatly 15 minutes
- In a frying pan add the vegetable oil followed by the onions and fry until golden and creapy.
