Oldest banana bread recipe from 1970 so delicious
Ingredients
- 3 Ripped Bannanas
- 2/3 Cup Black Coffee
- 2 Cups Plain White Flour
- 2 Cups Oat flour
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 3 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
- 2 Tsp Cinamon
- 1 Cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 1/3 Cup Dark brown sugar
- 2 Tsp Vanilla Paste
- 1/4 Tsp Almond Extract
- 1 Tsp Orange zest
- 3 Medium eggs
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Optional Toppings
- 1 Tsp Golden syrup
- 1 Tsp Tahini
- sprinkle Black onion seeds
Instructions
- Start by mashing 3 ripped bananas then mix them with the coffee and leave it in your fridge for 24hrs .
- Sift the flour, oat flour,baking powder and baking soda twice.
- Make sure your Unstalted Butter is soft befor mixing it with the other wet ingredientds .
- For the wet ingredients mix the Unsalted butter, Dark brown sugar, vanilla paste, Almond extract,Orange zest and eggs (Make sure you mix the eggs one at a time)
- Mix the wet ingredients until the mixture turn light.
- Start adding the dry mix followed by the banana and cofffe mix and the wet mixture and repeat until you run out of all of the 3 mixtures.
- Dont whisk everything instead gently fold all three mixtures togtherr until everything is combined.
- Butter your tin add the banana bread mix and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 40-50 min on 180C.
- Leave your banana bread to rest for 20 min before slicing.
